We’ll meet over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, Sessions Health. You’ll receive a link to log in for your session—no complicated downloads required. Online therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions, with the bonus of convenience (no commute, no parking stress). All you need is a private space and a reliable internet connection.

I do not accept any insurance. Many of my clients choose to pay out of pocket so they can have more control over their care—like choosing their therapist, length of sessions, and treatment approach—while also maintaining more privacy and avoiding the need for a formal diagnosis on their medical record.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit directly to your insurance company. I also offer courtesy billing through Mentaya, a service that files and manages out-of-network claims on your behalf—saving you the hassle of paperwork. Coverage varies by plan, so I always recommend calling your insurance provider directly to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
You can check your benefits here.

There are a few important reasons:
Flexibility in care – Insurance companies often limit session length, number of sessions, or which approaches can be used. Paying privately allows us to choose what works best for you, not what’s covered by a plan.
Privacy – When you use insurance, your diagnosis and treatment become part of your permanent medical record. Private pay keeps your therapy confidential between us.
No required diagnosis – Insurance typically requires a mental health diagnosis to justify treatment, even if you’re coming in for things like stress, life transitions, or relationship support. Paying out of pocket means we don’t need to pathologize your experience.
Reduced hassle – No fighting with insurance for approvals, denials, or paperwork delays.
That said, if you have out-of-network benefits, you may still be able to get reimbursed for part of the session fee. I provide superbills and also offer courtesy billing through Mentaya to make this process easier.

I accept all major credit and debit cards. You can also use HSA/FSA cards for therapy sessions. Payment is collected at the time of each session, and I keep a card on file for your convenience.

Yes. In addition to my standard session rate, I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee spots each week:
$175 per session (2 slots per week)
$150 per session (2 slots per week)
1 pro bono slot (no cost- must apply through Give an Hour. Limited to 12 total sessions per client.
These spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If they’re full, I’m happy to add you to a waitlist or provide referrals to low-cost options in the community.

A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a document required by law that gives you an upfront outline of the expected costs of therapy. It’s part of the “No Surprises Act,” which helps clients understand and plan for the financial side of their care.
Your estimate will include the session rate, how often we might meet, and what your costs could look like over the course of a year. Keep in mind—it’s just an estimate. The actual number of sessions depends on your goals, progress, and preferences.
You’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate before starting services, and you can request one at any time.
-
In your first session, we’ll talk about what led you to therapy, what you hope to work on, and any questions or concerns you have about the process. We’ll also review your goals for therapy and complete a few brief assessments to help guide our work together. I’ll explain how I approach therapy and what our sessions will look like.
By the end of the appointment, you’ll have a clearer sense of whether I’m the right fit for you, and we’ll discuss next steps if you’d like to continue.
-
Most clients start with weekly sessions, since meeting regularly helps build momentum and consistency. As you begin to feel more stable and confident, we may decide together to shift to biweekly or monthly check-ins.
The frequency depends on your goals, needs, and progress. We’ll revisit this as we go to make sure your schedule and support level feel right for you.

The length of therapy looks different for everyone. Some people come in with a specific concern, like insomnia or preparing for a transition, and may only need a few months. Most clients I work with benefit from working together for a minimum of 6 months. Those with more complex concerns—especially those working on trauma, anxiety, substance use disorders, or relationship challenges—may stay longer.
We’ll talk about your goals early on, check in regularly, and adjust as needed. Ultimately, you decide how long to continue, and we’ll collaborate to make sure the time you spend in therapy feels useful and aligned with what you want to accomplish.
I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use the tool below to see if you qualify for partial reimbursement.
